Josephine Wheatley

	Josephine Wheatley, 87, of DuQuoin, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2000 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
	Josephine was a homemaker and a member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ in DuQuoin.
	She was born January 13, 1913 at Edwardsville, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Smoltz) Kohout.  She married Dean Carlyle Wheatley on April 18, 1932 at Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1969.
	She is survived by one daughter- Jo Ann Moore of DuQuoin,  five sons- Lyle Dean Wheatley and wife Deanna of DuQuoin, robert Dean Wheatley and wife JoAnn of Tampa, FL, Richard Wayne Wheatley and wife Janice of Sesser, Bernard Neal Wheatley and wife Carmen of Barstow, CA, Lester Lee Wheatley and wife Carolyn of DuQuoin, daughter-in-law-Paulette Wheatley of DuQuoin, 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son-Donald Eugene Wheatley, five brothers and one sister.
	Funeral services were held Monday, September 25, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Bro. David Wheatley and Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
	Friends called from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery at DuQuoin.
